How To Promote Your Live Events With Video!

Hosting a festival, open mic night, or charity event? We have the top 3 ideas for video marketing your live event with OUT OF THIS WORLD video content!

We all love a live event, right?

Festivals, music nights, watching your drink fuelled relatives slide about the pub at a birthday party?

All good fun!

Events like these need promotions leading up to them, and sometimes coverage during and after too. PERFECT opportunity for video!

Festivals

Camping, open air concerts, and mud. Lots of mud. (Well if you attend UK festivals anyway…)

Whether it’s a small one day event, or a week long venture – these events can attract HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS.

You could even be a band or act playing and want to promote your slot? Maybe you’re a food truck or clothing stand who will be selling in the ‘village’ sections of the festival?

Usually festivals have a strong music genre, you can use this to help inform your design choices including colours and audio.

Live Acts

Maybe you’re a bar or pub and you’re hosting an open mic, band night, or poetry evening?

You could be an act who’s attending or selling tickets?

Maybe you’re the business or charity organising, sponsoring or benefiting from the event?

Getting the feel of the acts is key to attract the right kind of attendees!

Community Fundraisers

Bake sales, charity auctions, village fun day… communities come together in times of need and everyone likes to rally around a good cause.

You could be asked to make these for the charity themselves, a stall there, or maybe someone has been nice enough to commission it as a gift for those organising.

Remember it’s all about goodwill and good fun, so no need to be super salesy!

So to understand this better. I would make several videos using the templates then put those into a video software to “merge” them together?

    • Becca Jaye Sharples

Correct Shawn! You can use free editors such as HitFilm Express 🙂
